Experience​

2013-Present: Professor Design/Production. McCall School of Visual and Performing Arts, Coker University (Hartsville, SC)- Duties include: Managing shop personnel, overseeing the work of staff assistant. Designing, building, painting, and budgeting for three theatrical productions annually, and two dance productions annually. Teaching a variety of theater production classes, and theater history. Mentoring student technicians and designers. Recruiting new students.

2015-Present: Theatre Program Coordinator. McCall School of Visual and Performing Arts, Coker University (Hartsville, SC)- Duties include: Managing program budgets, annual program assessment, strategic planning, hiring and evaluating adjunct faculty, scheduling courses

2014-Present: Guest Scenic Designer.  Theatre Charlotte. Productions have included: Next to Normal, Rumors, Oliver!, Spring Awakening, Aida, Saturday Night Fever, Jesus Christ Superstar, Footloose, and The Importance of Being Earnest

2009-2013: Department Chair, Department of Visual and Performing Arts, Worcester Academy (Worcester, MA)- Duties included: managing departmental budgets, organizing and chairing department meetings. Consulting on teaching assignments and the annual evaluation of all departmental faculty. The chair also serves as a link between faculty and administration through service on the Curriculum Committee.

 

​​2000-2013: Teacher/Designer/Technical Director, Worcester Academy (Worcester, MA)- Duties included: the design, construction, and implementation of designs for scenery and lighting of four productions annually, tool, and budget maintenance. Directing spring showcase production and teaching a variety of classes in theater, technology, film, and studio art.

2012: Adjunct Instructor/Technical Director, Music Department, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Worcester, MA)- Duties include: The implementation of scenic and property elements. Leading student crews and supervising the completion of student design work. Tool and budget maintenance.

2009: Adjunct Instructor/Designer/TD, ​​Assumption College (Worcester, MA)- Duties included: Instructing stagecraft course. Design and implementation of scenic and lighting design for production of Into the Woods. Supervision of student crews. Tool and budget maintenance.

2003: Technical Director, Wachusset Theatre Company (Worcester, MA)- Duties included: The construction and implementation of scenic elements for two summer productions.

2001: Sound Designer/Master Electrician, Wachusset Theatre Company (Worcester, MA)- Duties included: the recording and implementation of sound cues and vocal and orchestral reinforcement. Hang, focus and maintain light plot.​

1997-2000: Technical Director, University of South Carolina Aiken  The Etherredge Center (Aiken, SC)- Duties included: the design, construction, and implementation of scenery, lighting, and sound for 6 departmental productions annually. Tool and budget maintenance. The advance preparation for outside events utilizing the Etherredge Center main stage, such as The Martha Graham Dance Company, The London City Opera, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The St. Petersburg Ballet, Le Trio Gershwin, Kurt Vonnegut, and Amiri Baraka.

1997: Technical Director, Summer Circle Free Festival (E. Lansing, MI)- Duties included: the development of working drawings. Tool and budget maintenance. Supervision of scenery and prop construction.
